Project Overview

As the Design Library prepared for a major renovation, this project investigated how undergraduate design students seek academic support, tools, and learning resources. Through qualitative UX research and synthesis, my team explored how the library could better guide students to the learning materials and support they need. Positioning the library as a central hub for discovery and support.

Starting Data

980+ qualitative survey responses discussing the user experiences and expectations regarding the current Design Library.

  • The survey was conducted by a libraries UX team and was provided for us.

  • Our research focused primarily on data from questions 14 - 18.

LAS Interviews

After defining our problem statement, we

sent interview questions to LAS data analysts

to clarify our persona's responsibilities.

Key Takeaways:

  • Streamlining task switching and team management to reduce cognitive load.

  • Enhanced tools to aggregate inputs

  • from team members into a unified report.

  • Data and report verification.
